Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Faru Outdoors platform (farououtdoors.vercel.app), creating an account, or booking any trip or event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all users of the platform, including customers, guests, and registered members. Faru Outdoors reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only upon receipt of full payment unless otherwise stated. Prices are listed in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and include VAT where applicable.

Payment may be made via M-Pesa, credit/debit card, or other methods displayed at checkout. Faru Outdoors does not store card information — all transactions are processed by our payment partners.

Group bookings of 8 or more persons require a 50% deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due 7 days before the trip date.

Customer cancellations made 14 or more days before the trip date are eligible for a full refund less a 5% processing fee. Cancellations made 7–13 days before the trip date are eligible for a 50% refund or full credit towards a future booking. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the trip date are non-refundable.

If Faru Outdoors cancels a trip due to safety concerns, insufficient participants, or circumstances beyond our control, participants will receive a full refund or credit at their preference. We will provide as much notice as possible.

All participants are required to disclose any medical conditions, physical limitations, or medications that may affect their ability to safely participate in outdoor activities. Faru Outdoors reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone whose health status presents an unacceptable risk to themselves or others.

Participants warrant that they are physically fit for the activity booked. Faru Outdoors is not liable for injury arising from undisclosed medical conditions or misrepresentation of fitness levels.

Outdoor activities carry inherent risks including but not limited to uneven terrain, wildlife encounters, adverse weather, altitude sickness, and physical exertion. By booking with Faru Outdoors you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Faru Outdoors, its guides, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any loss, injury, death, or damage arising from participation in our activities except where caused directly by our gross negligence. Participants are encouraged to obtain personal travel and medical insurance before booking.

All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner toward guides, fellow participants, wildlife, and local communities. Faru Outdoors reserves the right to remove any participant from a trip without refund if their behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or offensive.

Instructions given by Faru guides on the trail are binding. Refusal to comply with safety directives may result in immediate removal from the activity.

Faru Outdoors may photograph or video participants during trips and events for marketing purposes. By booking, you grant Faru Outdoors a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use such material on our platform and social media channels. If you prefer not to be photographed, notify your guide at the start of the trip.

All content on the Faru Outdoors platform — including text, images, logos, route maps, and trip descriptions — is the property of Faru Outdoors or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from your use of the Faru Outdoors platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
